De Turck

Jan (officially Johannes) De Turck is pursuing a master's degree in Energy Engineering at the KU Leuven, Belgium, and will graduate in 2013. Following this year, in the academic year 2013-2014, Jan will be pursuing the MSc Finance degree at the London School of Economics and Political Science, London, UK. As an active member of the Royal Belgian Air Cadets, Jan became a glider pilot (flying de-motorized planes). At the age of 18, he started restoring a classic American musclecar: a 1970 Dodge Challenger. Jan has an outspoken passion for mechanical engineering, numerical optimization, politics and literature. In his thesis research, Jan is investigating and designing computer algorithms that will help shape our energy future.
