A multi-actor system; a meeting place for people and technology
Tele_Trust includes spectators, webcams, database, smartphones, and the DataVeil’s ‘embodied touch interface’. It is a deconstructed and reassembled, rerouted communication form - for an awareness of senses reset. 'For these nodular subjects, ‘disconnection’ means ‘amputation’. I am part of the networks and the networks are part of me.... I link, therefore I am. (William J. Mitchell, ‘ME++’).
DataVeil participants connect with each other through the Tele_Trust network in real time, connecting public spaces worldwide. The performance is established through interaction between the screens, the hosted ritual, onlookers’ perceptions of the DataVeil, and the exchange between participants who are either virtual or physically present. New portraits and statements are created at each performance. All user-generated content is visible on the central online database at http://www.teletrustlab.net.
PEOPLE BECOME PUBLIC.
