I was pleased to be invited by Caroline Nevejan to contribute to her exciting concept of witnessing presence. In my daily practice I miss a theoretical approach sometimes, although I like to reflect on what I do. However as designers we are seldom asked to write something from a reflective standpoint. As you can see in my contribution I fancy models and structures. So the combination of a basic model to orient and à carte blanche to do whatever I wanted, proved very fruitful for me. I chose the form of a dialogue with someone outside the art world, for which I chose my husband Andreas Zangger. As a historian he brings in a more academic perspective.
In the dialogues we try to depict the concepts laying in my work and relate them to the Witnessed Presence project. This form proofed to be playful, fun and interesting.
