As it was expected, the first day at TU Delft arrived. After having visited Delft and other cities in Netherlands, which I really enjoyed it was time to immerse to the biomimicry design world. An unknown field which I really wanted to see how it worked.
Wandering for an exceptional journey at TU Delft the day started with an interesting visit to all the university campus. There we could appreciate how big, important and modern is the Delft university. The tour was ended with a presentation of the university and the four courses that where going to take place. At the end of the brief explication I was still thinking I had chosen the best course.
So it ws time to start the lectures that where introduced as very interesting to us. The first lecture, given by Caroline Nevejan was a bit confusing at first, but as she started to explain it was being more and more interesting. I find really interesting to analyse situations that we experience daily the way we did. Maybe to really understand the methodology more classes could be necessary. Despite having started good, the afternoon was a bit disapointing. We all expected some lecutres about biomimicry or doing some activity related with what the course will talk about but we had some few words about how the couse will be developped. I have to admit that we all are disapointed with the idea to have to stay until 20:30h or 21h with the project.
Considering all what we have done during the day and compareing it with what we thought it would be, I am doing a bad valorisation of how we spend the day today. For further ATHENS couses in my opinion, biomimetic examples and trying to get people enthusiastic about it it very important to make them be encouraged to do a good work.
