The first thing I saw when I woke up was that the temperature was -2 degrees Centigrade. Not the most ideal weather for a grand finale. I hurriedly got ready, had breakfast and walked to the university. At the university, we all sat together discussing some final minor changes to our presentation and before we knew it, it was almost time to present all the work we had put in during the entire week. Truly, it was a very tedious and intense one week. Not because it was a very tough assignment, but because we all put in the best we could and worked to bring out our best. I believe I can without much doubt say that each and every one of us in the workshop loved the work we did. With so much in our hearts we had our lunch and were all set to present our heart's work.
Our team presented first. We explained the salient features of our design and tried our best to convince the judges of the amount of work that had gone into creating what was there in front of their eyes. Following a few comments and questions, we had showed them the fruits of our work. Following this were the presentations of the other groups. We had all done our best and worked as a single team to come out with a design which had form, function and meaning to it. Personally, I found it to be an amazing experience and clearly see that the designs and ideas we came up with would have been impossible without each other.
The results were announced and finally it was time for us to take our minds away from the idea of designing a faculty building and think of the amazing party which awaited us. We had a great time at the party and our time at TU Delft was nearing its end. We said goodbyes and moved to our homes. Personally, I feel this is a week I would be happy to relive in my memories anytime in the forthcoming future.
Signing off until next time,
